Get Help With Foreclosure and Keep Your Home!

When you're about to lose your home, you need help with foreclosure, and you need it now! Once you've got the intent to foreclose from the bank, there's no time to waste. Depending on what state you live in, foreclosure may take a year or more to go through, but in other states it only takes a matter of months. You don't want to be caught unawares or unprepared and lose the home you worked so hard to get. Just remember, while you need to get to work NOW to save your home, there's no reason to feel stressed or under pressure. There are plenty of ways to avoid foreclosure and keep your home. Here are some of the top ways to do so:

1.  Re-finance your mortgage. This is the obvious first solution. If you can re-finance, all will be well. You can pay off your old mortgage, back payments and all, and get an entirely new one with terms you can afford. If you're able to do this, then you needn't worry at all. However, most people in the position of losing their homes already have credit too damaged to qualify for a re-finance.

2.  Try to work things out with your lender. Lenders can offer you several options for keeping your house. Suspending payments for a few months while you get back on your feet financially is one way, moving missed payments to the end of the mortgage is another. You can even pay back a little of the back payments with each mortgage payment until the missed payments are made up. If your bank will work with you in a way you can live with, then that's great. If they offer you terms to expensive for you, you'll need to look at other options.

3.  Sell your house. This takes care of the problem of having a foreclosure on your credit report. You still lose your house, but your credit isn't damaged as badly, and you may have enough money from the sale to get a smaller place.

4.  Declare bankruptcy. Banks have to halt foreclosure proceedings while you're in Chapter 7, which gives you time to work out your finances so you can keep your house. In Chapter 13, the court will arrange a payment plan for you that will also allow you to keep your home. So, as you can see, there are plenty of ways to get help with foreclosure. That ugly notice from the bank doesn't have to mean the end of your stay in your home. You CAN fight back and win!
